El curso de verano El Reino desconocido, la interpretación como
una (De)construcción creativa, nos guiará a través de una serie de
asuntos relacionados con la percepción de la obra de arte, así como con su
creación. Marcin Kowalik nos ayudará a entender cómo funciona la obra de arte en la mente del artista y del espectador.
Durante este taller, actuaremos como un creador de antaño y un
espectador contemporáneo, aprendiendo a analizar una obra y a entender su
proceso de creación. Todo esto y mucho más con el objeto de acercarnos a "lo
desconocido"- el elemento de creación en una obra de arte.
Para este propósito, los participantes trabajarán con
impresiones de antiguos maestros de la pintura y utilizarán como medio el
collage:
-Analizando las pinturas desde un punto de vista formal y
teórico.
-Creando teorías e hipótesis sobre cómo surge la pintura.
-Haciendo collages en base al previo análisis.
Objetivos: Los participantes aprenderán sobre el proceso
de construir significado en una obra de arte. Serán capaces de desarrollar su
propio trabajo gracias a un proceso de autoanálisis, observando y construyendo una
realidad por capas.
¿Quién es el profesor?
Marcin Kowalik (Polonia, 1981) es pintor y profesor en la
Academia de Bellas Artes en Cracovia.
Sus pinturas son -por encima de todo- un juego intelectual entre el
espectador y la obra.
Ha participado en unas 40 exposiciones: en Knoxville, New
York, Brussels, Leipzig, Düsseldorf, Dublin, Bern, Warsaw, Cracow (The National Museum) y otras ciudades. Ha
recibido varias becas, como: la Academy
of Fine Arts en Cracovia, o the Minister
of Culture and National Heritage, una residencia en Ateliers Höherweg 271 en Düsseldorf, la Grazella Foundation.
Sus obras se encuentran en la colección del Museo Nacional de Gdansk, en el Museo de Bellas Artes de la Academia Jan
Matejko, en Cracovia, Regional Museum
in Stalowa Wola y Chełm (Poland), the Borowik
Collection, the Clifford Chance
Collection y otras muchas colecciones privadas alrededor del mundo. Además,
Kowalik es el fundador de la beca ‘Wiara
w Malarstwo’ (‘Fe en la pintura’)

The Summer course Unknown Kingdom –
Interpretation as a creative (De)construction will guide you through the number of
issues connected with the perception of a work of art, as well as its creation. Marcin Kowalik will help you understand
how the work of art functions in an artist’s and a spectator’s mind. During the workshop we will act both as an old-time creator and a
modern spectator, we will learn how to analyse a work of art and how to
understand the process of its creation. All this and more in order to get
closer to the unknown - the element of creation in a work of art.
For this purpose,
participants will work with collage based on prints of the old masters
paintings:
-Analyzing old paintings
from formal and theoretical point of view.
-Creating theories and
hypothesis about how the painting arises.
-Making collages based
on earliest analysis.
Objectives: Participants
will learn about the process of creating meaning in a work of art. They will be
able to develop their work thanks to the process of
self-analysis. Building and observing multi-layering reality.
